Ollie
4Freedom

Here is one of the most precious people ever born, Olivia Jane Fluffenhund, aka Ollie. She left me a quivering mess behind her loss 11/24/08. She slept at my feet every night, and always knew when more fluffy love was needed. There has to be some sort of heaven, because Ollie belongs in heaven. She was a bright spark who warmed every heart that knew her. I miss you so much, my fluffy love!

Amber
Amber6541

She is afraid of people and not much else. She jumps the 5 foot tall, one inch wide fence around the patio and various other fantastic exploits, but if she hears a human voice half a football field away, she runs in the house as fast as she can.

Figero
Amber6541

One of Figero's nicknames is Buddy, because he likes to be where I am. When I have a busy day working around the house, he is there keeping me company and giving wonderful moral support. He also does a little supervising, talking quite a bit, especially near meal times. When I have been out, he is patiently waiting, at the door, when I get home.

Squeex
auapplemac

Squeex was an itty bitty kitty when I adopted her and would sleep curled up under my chin. Now 3+ years later she is a monster cat, but she still likes to cuddle on cold nights so I keep the thermostat very low to encourage her. She lives for nums and if I even think of going into the kitchen, she starts moving in that direction. Oh, yes her name... well, she squeeked as a kitten and still does.

Rascal
Bendra

Rascal is an athletic little girl who is loaded with catitude and who likes rolling around on the newspapers her people are reading and begging to get out in the yard and chase birds. If ever a cat knew her purpose in life....she does.

Nicky
CoolOnion

We adopted Nicky from the SPCA in 1993 at the age of 3. In his youth, he enjoyed playing chase around the house and in his old age his favorite activities were eating, sleeping and cuddling. Nicky went to the Rainbow Bridge in December 2009 at the age of 19, and he is missed by his human family and his cat sitters.

Dusty
Debbie in ME

My old boy, Dusty turned 15 last spring. He is a sweet, shy boy who hates having his picture taken - which causes a lot of his pictures to have a grumpy expression, leading people to think he is a mean kitty, but he really isn't. He is a big wimp.

Loki
Debbie in ME

I was having "kitten pangs" last summer, but concerned about Dusty's age and his ability to accept a newcomer, I decided to leave it to the fates whether or not I would get a kitten. The fates decided and one day at work an email went around from a coworker - she had found a couple kittens abandoned in her family's barn and was looking for homes for them. I responded that I might be interested and the rest is history. Loki, named after the Norse God of Mischief, earned his name quickly. I think he is delightful, Dusty isn't so sure. ;)

Seamus and Daisy
eclare

Seamus isthe tri-colored Border Collie sitting on the left - he's about 18 weeks in this photo and is on a trajectory to be a very large and very handsome dog when he is full grown. Daisy is the little black mutt standing next to him. She is what we in the crazy dog lady world call my "heart dog." She is the dog against which all other dogs are judged. Loving, driven, loyal, and extremely opinionated, she has been my best friend for the past three years. Both dogs are far too smart for their own good, and generously share their home with a variety of foster dogs helping to prepare them for their very own forever homes.

Hannah
escapee

Hannah, a white faced tabby, allowed us to share her space occasionally, but that was all. She had beautiful, glamorous green eyes, and she loved the sunshine. She died in 2007.

Ben
escapee

So far, Ben has been the cat of my heart. He was a big, furry sweet boy, affectionate and clever and beautiful. He had the most human eyes I've ever seen in a cat. He was more or less completely silent (never learned to purr, and never meowed unless he was terrified), hated the doorbell, loved to snuggle, and had a instinct for when his people felt bad. I miss him so very much.

Sadie
escapee

And then there's Sadie, who came to us from the Humane Association. They told us that she wasn't cared for well in her previous home; she was underweight, looked as if she'd never been groomed (that's why she's shaved - it hurt her too much for them to comb her out), and is afraid of hands. When she's scared, she runs to make sure her food is still there. She has a Fortress of Solitude (one of the chairs at the dining room table), but more and more she's coming out, bouncing up onto my desk to say hi, and falling asleep on laps. It'll take a while.

The Boober
FrugalGranny

The Boober was a Burmese and we rescued him from the SFSPCA. We were never sure of his age. We had only had him 3 years when he was diagnosed with lymphoma. Unable to put him through chemo, we only expected to have him for a few short weeks. We managed to enjoy him for another two years. Losing this little furball was the most painful loss for both of us. He will be sorely missed.

Bullwinkle
ilovecheese

Bullwinkle, born and found in 2001, doesn't like other cats, people or other living things. Being a part time marina cat, he loves to build many bunkers under dry docked boats. He can go "beach". In the winter he goes "apartment", where he works on various places and positions of taking naps, AKA "Kitty Yoga". I don't know why, but I love him.
